Not only that - a lot of violent felonies are the result of people having had their life destroyed by a drug sentence when they were young. Imprisonment sets people up for future failure and crime, particularly those coming from a weak socioeconomic background who don't have strong connections or families to fall back on after release. Throwing people into prison over minor drug offences breeds further crime rather than preventing it.
I'm pretty sure some other less sentient species would be capable of making a living wage working 50/hrs a week at an Amazon warehouse. There are places for ex-cons.
I've known undocumented alien friends from youth who found jobs in sanctuary states. You're literally being an apologist.
Yea, you're never going to be as rich as you were before. And most businesses just straight up won't hire you. But there are options. In general, everyone's first job underpays them.
We need to stop encouraging these toddlers.
This just doesn't happen in any other community.

yup they dont call it "con college" for nothing. the whole time you're in there u get told u will never get a job once released and u learn how to commit worse crimes.
People inside prison saying things that encourage said people to keep being criminals.
Who would ever expect such a thing.
