I'm in neither group. Reasonable precautions are fine, and justified. The kicker in this incident was that I stood on the 2nd mark, right beside her and she still didn't move.
And even better the girl ahead of the woman was clean and clean cut and also wearing a mask. The woman was wearing a mask as well.

I however, haven't shaved in a week, have hair down to my shoulders at least, and unlike the woman and the girl... haven't seen the inside of a Macy's, in at least 30 years.
The only conclusion I could arrive at, was that the woman secretly wanted my Jeremiah Johnson looking bod.

She wasn't bad looking either. Maybe I should have.. given her my card or something.

You just described a random encounter with a woman you dont know, an encounter which ended up being akward and/or uncomfortable, and then proceeded to speculate that she was perhaps into you (lol?) and you should have given her your card (lol!), followed by commenting on her looks. And to finish off, you picture her under the shower...

So it will goes above 100k (official numbers) in June for US, following almost all models.

The wind turns and it begins to blow hard against China. Across the globe, more and more voices are calling for an international investigation to determine the origin of the Covid-19. Pressures are mounting against chinese government, which has refused to give the results of its epidemiological investigation and to welcome foreign experts.

I'm also noticing that some of our suppliers at my work are considering moving their manufacturing from China to either other places in SEA or to Eastern Europe. The willingness to depend on Chinese resources and supply chains is running dry with this crisis.

Its worth noting that this model already includes weighting for underreporting of recent deaths since it can take ~8+ weeks for confirmation and certification that would undercount since the start of the epidemic. But it could also be the case that they're overestimating because people's focus on covid-19 right now might result in more prompt reporting. Or maybe it doesn't, we don't really know. But they estimate about 60% reporting within 10 days and weight accordingly.

Looking at the table with/without weighting, its clear that the vast majority of excess deaths since the start of the epidemic chalk up to how its weighted before they get fully reported, which means we really don't know yet how accurate their estimates will be.
