in context its very clear Trump didnt realize his trade war would drag on, what sectors it would hit, or what he'd have to do to fix this. China didnt blink, Trump did. they dont have to beat him, just wait him out. and it didnt take long for him to buckle.

Lobbying for specific states is fine. Lobbying for your personal business interests is not fine. Saying that building concentration camps for the Uyghurs the right thing to do is also not fine (from a moral perspective, legally he's free to believe that).
