Presidential Candidate: I will increase China importing American goods!!
Presidential Candidate in Office: Hey China, buy from my company and I'll give you kickbacks, and if you don't I'll increase tariffs.
Goom: Look, he said he would increase China's importing of our products! He's just filling a campaign promise!
I'm not sure if that's entirely what happened?

This behavior is an affront to everything the institution of American pseudodemocracy stands for and a complete betrayal of the big money special interests and multinationals that are supposed to bankroll a politician's campaign.
Something is seriously wrong with our system of government if a president is allowed to deliver on his campaign promises and represent the will of the voting public.
Also, did I forget to mention the part where the guy who conspired in secret against Trump and stabbed in the back accused him of being paranoid?
Lobbying for specific states is fine. Lobbying for your personal business interests is not fine. Saying that building concentration camps for the Uyghurs the right thing to do is also not fine (from a moral perspective, legally he's free to believe that).
