Really been enjoying Trump's lawyers getting owned by judges today. A lot of hilarity. One argued they werent allowed to have observers and when asked they actually had "a nonzero amount of observers" lol. Judge scolded him. Another judge asked "I'm asking as a member of the bar if you're starting the ballots you want to be discounted are subject to fraud?" "No, we just think theyre a mistake".

You seem a lot less angry now. Thats good. This is a much more reasonable take than Jere

Not particularly invested in either candidate. I never hid the fact that my preference is Trump, but either can win and life will go on. This thread is far more irritating in the sense that people seem to still be arguing one vs the other. Why? Votes are cast. Now the system simply needs time to work and we'll have our winner. The time to argue candidates is over.

Those who're trying to demonize voters are simply idiotic, and cannot even claim to support any form of democracy whatsoever.

By this logic the election isn't over till members of the House and the Senate count the electoral college votes in January. Is there any value to saying "However, after the process completes, it may turn out that Trump will win, which is also fine."? Unicorns might exist, I don't know. They could. I don't know though. I don't think we should sit around and theorize about it though, probably a waste of time.

This is false. Electoral votes aren't even cast in January, they're cast in December. This Presidential term is not finished until January, that's for sure. I can guarantee one thing and one thing only: Trump is currently President, and barring death, will remain so until January 20th.

As LegalEagle said, when a judge asks you "as a member of the court" or "as the member of the bar" you fucked up and better drop your shit, because if you don't they're getting ready to take your disciplinary hearing as a personal matter.

In a pedantic way, yeah, it's not over until the electoral ballots are cast.

But in all practicality, it's over. They need to drop their shit and facilitate a smooth transition as literally every other president before them has done. The only reason they aren't is because Trump is a whiny baby who can't handle losing and they are playing a dangerous game to make the system look illegitimate in the eyes of the public.

The media does not call elections. ANY elections. The media exists to report who has won and lost after it has been determined for sure that they have won or lost.

If the "reported votes" swung the other way, and Biden was currently in Trump's position, I would equally encourage him to use all legal and Constitutional means to try to win.

The election is a contest, it's not a shoe in. Both candidates clearly want to win, therefore both candidates should use whatever means the system allows to try to win.

Why concede when you haven't yet lost?

States have called the elections and ballots are counted with a winner. Short if faithless electors it is just a matter if finishing the term out in Jan. I think he goes to Mar a Lago at christmas and ghosts us (imo). There could be faithless electors though. Georgia might go all South might rise again lol.

Chess players knock over their king as a sign of respect when they know the game is over. Yes on a pedantic level the game isn’t over and they could leak out extra time/moves if they wanted, but that’s what babies who can’t accept losing do.

I did not say the votes were cast in January, I said they were counted in January.

edit: Bad english, I mean "I said the votes are counted in January, not casted in January."
