Slaughtering innocent young people at the rave festival, many of which were international tourists, does nothing to help Hamas beat the Israeli military. To add insult to injury, this was a peace festival which urged peaceful coexistence and an end to the bloodshed. The Hamas terrorists massacred all of them indiscriminately. According to you, this was "a successful operation".
A "peace festival" lol, it was a bunch of degenerate westerners dancing near the border of an open air prison. Maybe the Israeli government shouldn't allow parties there? These people are supposedly in fear for their lives at all times and yet "lol Gaza strip rave!!!!"
There was most likely as least one member of the IDF there as well so all of you cheering on the child massacres (the ones with video evidence that anyone can see, not the Israeli kind) should be fine with it right?

It's not about protecting the IDF bases, it's about protecting their civilian population which is, and always will remain a soft target - that's the nature of being a civilian.
Yeah the Israeli government is notoriously non chalant about the lives of the IDF
Probably why taking over the bases was so easy?
"Build a settlement next to the people we've been oppressing for generations" < How to keep your "soft targets" safe. Bonus points for sleeping on the job and allowing 1000+ hamas members to raid those settlements.

The people in the West Bank didn't elect Hamas, so there's that.
Who did they elect?

The people of Gaza receive a large amount of humanitarian aid, from the UN, even from the EU. Maybe they should buy less missiles and more food with it. Or more contraception... you know, a quadrupling population within the past 40 years exacerbates just about every problem they already have.
Humanitarian aid from the organizations/countries that either installed or supported the colony that oppressed the people they are sending it to. Seems a bit backwards doesn't it? Don't we call this funding terror if anyone but the West does it?
Unlike our countries Gaza doesn't benefit from the US umbrella of protection so their defense budget probably doesn't reflect what we would consider normal. How many missiles should they buy? Or do you really mean to say they should just disarm and accept their ethnic cleansing politely? You Germans got very upset about the Warsaw ghetto uprising, so I suppose it wouldn't be out of character.
A quadrupling population also exacerbates Israels main problem as well so strategically it makes sense

Even if we agreed that fighting back against Israel by any means necessary was justified in their situation, then killing tourists and taking international hostages would still not fall under this category.
Sure but I haven't actually seen any video of that, just the aftermath so I wouldnt be shocked at all if the reality was that people were killed in crossfire between security forces and hamas, there are reports that substantiate this as well. Whatever the case the tourists were unlikely to be a target and more likely collateral damage of the attack.
"International" hostages from Israel could very well just be dual passport citizens of Israel, the targets were likely IDF personnel because they would be more valuable to trade, since we don't have an accurate list of who was taken and what nationality they are or if they were military I think it's a moot point. I do find it funny how many people suddenly care about the hostages while also supporting Israel flattening Gaza....the place where the hostages were taken
