The signature envelopes aren't destroyed. They're kept separately from the ballots, and can be used as a means of tracking numbers of verified signatures to numbers of absentee ballots cast and counted, but the secret ballot requirement in the Georgia constitution prohibits re-attaching the signature to the ballot. It defeats the purpose of a secret ballot to attempt to do so. Which derphead45 can't seem to get through his skull.
Edit: I mean, technically they could go through signatures to verify if person X cast a ballot in general, but they cannot determine if person X cast any specific ballot, for any specific candidate or slate of candidates. But the verification process has already been done. TWICE. At this point it's pissing into the wind to try again, because it's not going to affect any outcome.
So, exactly what I said heh.
Independent verification (R+D experts) put an average of 8% of signatures on counted mail-in ballots in question in AZ. That's significant.
Our process needs to be tightened up significantly because one election the judges will actually let people take a hard look and its likely to be a horrifying picture.
