It was easy to get people riled up over Obama because he was black, so he could be painted as a foreigner. 'He's not from here', 'he's a socialist', etc. etc.

Biden is an old white wealthy man. There's no way to rile up the base against him except by calling him a socialist. They're so dumbfounded that none of their criticisms are sticking that they can only go after "wokeness" and "cancel culture".
