John Cena has been a phony for all his life. There is nothing real or sincere about that guy, never was. He's about as fake as 80s Hulk Hogan, just a little less overt.
I mean, yeah. He's was a wrestler. Wresting is like the fakest thing in existence. They don't even try to be realistic. He's a decent performer when the situation calls for him to ham it up.
I agree that he isn't exactly a bastion of masculinity. People get obsessed with the outward portrayal of masulinity, like muscles and strong language, and forget that it's just as much about doing right by people and supporting righteous causes.
