I actually thought twice about posting the CNN story by itself, but the second link shows numbers down 82% this month based on an HHS/DHS report. Officials coordinating at that level in multiple agencies to falsify numbers doesn't make any sense.

i mean im fine with them basically failing 10x worse than trump’s admin did on proper border security and then copycatting the much more successful policy. the only credit has come from the copycatting so far tbh

Last month was an 800% increase so this is still a 160% surplus over the normal.
