Well they don't believe in economic externalities. That's just shady orthodox economics to them. I don't love me by talked about how dysfunctional Austrian economics is lately , Is so much of a non starter that people even stopped talking about it. Would be like going back to leeches to cure covid lol. Or assessing and diagnosing people with the 4 humors.

Libertarians model is two centuries old deprecated, it's just incompatible with out current world.

The only thing they have left is - to limit excessive centralization - in a giant country like US, and i salute this because this mess can quickly degenerate in some authoritarian fest.

We've hit over 60,000 deaths in America. The projection model touted by the cult media said it was supposed to be 60k by August.

It could be much more than 60k already. Hospitals deaths are reported (and eventually "funded"... Meaning it's important to properly log them) but for nursing homes and just - homes -... It's more an embarrassing number than anything else.

In France we are reporting hospitals + nursing homes, and - homes - total will be calculated in June... For US seems all this varies from a state to another. And it's always possible to "tune" down nursing homes & homes numbers, because of post mortem test etc.


Maybe 100k for US ?

I would rather call it insane and desperate.

1.: He should focus on getting the coronavirus under control and restarting the economy in responsible and sustainable fashion. THAT should be his #1,2,3,...,9 and 10 priority right now.
2.: There's no way these plans work out. The ensuing escalation spiral of retaliation and hostilities would only drag everyone down. The measures discussed here are just not suited for taking the Chinese down.
3.: Like that one adviser in the article said: "this is not the right time for that". With the world economy on the ropes, imposing huge new tariffs, or shocking the financial world by refusing to pay dues on dollar bonds, would be like throwing a match into an oil drum.
