Why does everyone assume people who are against illegal immigration are against it because of racial issues.

Ideally I want to deport all illegal immigrants, even though it isn't really feasible.
I want to stop all illegal immigrants, and take more actions to stop them from coming over the border.
I am fine with Mexicans or anyone else coming over the border, assuming they do so legally, and they are educated/economically well off/have a decent paying job lined up.

I don't want to be accepting illegals or legal immigrants who are going to be a burden on tax payers. This has absolutely nothing to do with race.

Some argue that following the US immigration laws or wanting them enforced is racist - just make sure to relay that message anyone who followed the rules to come here legally, waiting in line patiently and paying the fees associated with legal immigration. Also the familes living in the US that helped their relatives in the process to immigrate here legally. They're all a buncha racists!!!

you're missing the point. It doesnt matter if someone takes offense, thats fine and dandy. What matters is you argue with someone about why it should or shouldn't be offensive, not counter lazily with semantics and ignore the core issue. Every time someone utters the phrase "mexican isnt a race" their dodging the core issue, even if their semantic argument is correct. I detest semantic arguments.

Someone says Donald Trump is racist because he wants to remove illegals the only reasonable thing to say is he is not racist and illegals isn't a race. This is directly refuting their point and covers why deporting illegals shouldn't be offensive to latinos/hispanics.

If I am wrong here what would you suggest is a better method of discourse?

Yeah, he's totally called a racist for being against illegal immigration, and not because he gives nods to the KKK and says Mexicans are rapists until proven innocent.

I'm seriously so sick of hearing about Trump already; he's a fringe candidate who stands no chance at getting the nomination. He's this year's Ron Paul (gets tons of attention on the internet but loses by a landslide).

Targeting illegal immigrants will have a resounding negative impact on Latino populations. As Hispanics make up the overwhelming bulk of illegal immigrants in the US. Its a logical outcome of the witchhunt that must follow if someone were to attempt to deport illegals.

Take a look at the backlash of butch looking women being mistaken for trans and harassed for using their gender at birth correct bathroom, then expand it to a far larger population with far more distinct visual characteristics and lumped together into neighborhoods.

As i type this i realize i have had this exact conversation with you, and i told you last time there are plenty of laws that law enforcement and legislators chose not to enforce for reasons similar to this. I agree that border security and the wall itself shouldnt draw offense, however suggesting mexico pay to secure our border certainly can be construed as offensive to some. But to suggest an act (mass deportation) shouldnt be seen as offensive to the population that it will negatively stigmatize it really really silly to me. Please explain to me how it isnt.

Trump disavows the KKK and Trump has never said that.

as to the second i wouldnt ever claim all latinos are offended, not even as high of a percent as most seem to infer. I do think however that Trump will do historically bad among the latino community for a presidential election. I fully expect him to bring in worse number than anyone ever has in black, female, latino, and muslim communities.

Facts dont care about your feelings.

You can sputter from here to infinity but we wont see how he does till November, when the polls aren't taken during working hours.

I do not disagree that latino populations that support and house illegals will be impacted. Not all Latino populations support illegal immigration nor should they.

I know very little about butch looking women being mistaken for trans and the snowball effect associated with it, care to link something reputable?

Not all latinos should be seen as illegals/criminals and people who stigmatize latinos that way are idiotic.
