i don't reject capitalism as a whole, and i'm not suggesting that locking up large swaths of your population for minor, non-violent offences is an inevitable consequence of having a capitalist economy. i'm saying that's what can happen when it's left largely unchecked - just like the countless wars for oil and profit, the significant disempowerment of the working class, incredible inequality, a healthcare system so messed up that it would ruin a large percentage of the population if they were to have a semi-serious health problem... capitalist motives are directly responsible for those outcomes. however, there are plenty of nations that find healthier balances, without being starving communist dystopias.
as to your thread, i've already voiced my disappointment concerning your loaded approach, but might reconsider depending on your reply to the serious responses you got. judging from your recent posts i'm not exactly optimistic about the possibility of a good faith debate, but i will make an extra effort to keep an open mind.
