Just got a letter from the IRS. As I see where it's from I immediately think to myself fuck I'm getting audited. I open the letter and immediately notice the big bold letters at the top: THE WHITE HOUSE

quickly read through it and it's basically talking about the 1400 per family member I should have received. Signed at the bottom is Joseph R. Biden, Jr.

Then I think back like half a year ago when there were critical front-page articles being written about Trump and him putting his signature on the mailed checks.

This is really hilarious honestly, Biden is using the same playbook as Trump did with the checks, in essence, taking ownership of the benefit provided.

Should I hold my breath for similar articles on Biden from those same outlets or?

Trump was specifically criticized because he was attempting to break protocol and put his name specifically on the check. Biden has his name on an IRS letter.

Not really the same thing, like, at all. You should scan the letter and post it though so we can have more context. Make sure to remove metadata and any address information though. Not trying to get you to dox yourself lol.

The essence of the criticism was that Trump was uncharacteristically taking credit so the simps will associate him with this specific positive happening in their life. Personally, I think that criticism is actually accurate, not sure if it's front-page worthy though. Biden is doing exactly the same thing here.

Did he specifically have these ordered? How does it deviate from typical policy? Genuinely don't know the format of a letter like this. Was it a specific white house order to have them sent to remind people to claim them?

Idk who had them ordered but I highly doubt a letter with a heading the White House and signed by Joe Biden is protocol for the IRS letting people know they should of got 1400.

same here, thought i was getting auditted as my federal taxes came in but not state, then realized IRS wouldnt be through state and felt dumb. then had to explain stimmy check for the new baby was on our federal return to my wife, twice. shredded it soon after.

i mean think of the "logical" target audience, someone so detached they have to be notified they got a stim check via direct deposit that didnt know already....
