freedom to libertarians means freedom to fail, freedom to liberals means freedom from any oppression. its all in the definitions. but in any case ive never considered Ron Paul to be much of a libertarian in truth, just a heavy dosage mixed with republican talking points.

I understand libertarian freedoms versus the 4 freedoms that Americans enjoy classically.

Pretty much my whole adult life libertarianism has not existed in American politics and the politicians who call themselves libertarians really did it disservice like the Paul family, and were patriatchial paleoconservatives with white supremacist leanings.

I don't think real libertarians are pro oppression.

they're either pro nor anti oppression depending on how you define it. if you consider a rich person charging rent to a person that you deem unfair they're for it. if you consider a rich person making a product that is harmful they aren't, they just prefer lawsuits to legislation.
