im fully aware of the entire history of Gavin and the Proud boys. I was listening to his show on Compound Media when it all started. I followed it when it was just dudes drinking together. I watched when they started to be escorts. and i was there when some chapters shifted to counter protesters that just wanted to fight Antifa guys.
Gavin fully admits that extremists infiltrated and that he let the rhetoric and extremism get away from him. and no, i'm not talking about the at-gunpoint bullshit disavowing he did at the behest of legal council to try and get charges dropped. i'm talking about his later interview with Anthony Cumia back on compound a few weeks after.
he got worked up one episode, there was an especially violent Antifa event, and he told the proudboys to go out there and beat antifa ass. he was being hyperbolic and he was worked up. that's why i say it should have drawn a suspension, or possibly some sort of punishment through the youtube partnership program to make money off ads. not get banned.
he's back now, but we'll see for how long. i'm a big Gavin fan btw, but he for sure got too worked up and the proudboys got away from him. i could dig for links i suppose, but i think that longwinded timeline should suffice.
