I do not affirm that is why Gaddafi died. Gaddafi's forces had already killed upto 2 thousand protesters in the run up the NATO intervention and his forces were about to commit genocide in Benghazi.

Gaddafi could have easily been removed before if that was the sole motivation.

Do I think there are other motivators outwith avoiding a genocide? Yes I do.
