Jack Dorsey has a million more important things to think about than another right-wing nutter who violated Twitter's rules.

why was Kathy Griffin not banned for openly asking her followers to doxx minors in the catholic schoolboy vs indian elder situation? Milo was banned for basically asking his followers to shit on the female Ghostbusters remake.

Because Jack Dorsey is a pedophile devil worshiper, my dude.

I really don't know and don't care. Why don't the right-wing nutters move over to the white supremacist Twitter where they belong?

I, unlike many people, have zero issues with censorship on a voluntarily used online platform. Even despite the monopolistic nature of the market share. As long as the censorship is consistent.

In the same way a company not enforcing their IP can harm their ability to make copyright claims the next wave of litigation will be exiled pundits from Twitter that have a claim they should be paid damages because Twitter isn't applying their rules to both sides equally.

some of the core ideas people have about censorship in the 21st century aren't based on anything, no precedent, and they're legally ignorant to boot. "it's a free platform, no one's forcing the user to use it", being one of them. when it comes to application of a standard of rules the user isn't the one on trial. being voluntary isn't the only issue at play. we're in an era where exposure on social media is a tangible financial fact of business. precedent of lawsuits for lost revenue will be coming, and will force more uniform rules.

i understand that in the micro details people get confused, "i got banned for saying ______" says a guy with 12 followers. those people don't matter, they're blips on the algorithmic radar. This leads to bad info and data, especially given that right wingers are more anti-PC and will therefore always trigger more algorithmic bans. but celebs that lose tens of millions from deplatforming? that's going to lead to some big windfall lawsuits.

and still, we're in a situation where Kathy Griffin is more guilty of breaking the rules than Milo. and she's online. Rose McGowan got like a 3 day ban for accidentally doxxing someone, and that was light because of the #metoo role she played. but at least she was banned for a bit. kathy posts "who are they, I WANT NAMES" and is online. and it loses the left credibility. who gives 2 flying fucks if Kathy got a week suspension, she could ahve taken one for the team.

The problem for me is that the people complaining about Twitter's bias have little to no credibility in my eyes. Since I can't rely on them to present the facts in an honest and objective way, I don't even look into the "censoring conservatives" stuff. I can't even listen to Ben Shapiro anymore because I'm so turned off by the constant whataboutism.

Maybe somebody serious has written on it... if so I'd be happy to read that.

lion's tend to pick off the calves and old slow cows, even if they have less quality meat.

social media platforms have done the same, Milo, Alex Jones, Gavin, etc. They're all highly provocative. they are the pack stragglers.

it does make it incredibly hard to get into the issue, but think of it as precedent rather than actually standing up for those people. in the case of Alex Jones specifically he has broken many many rules. but they chose to shut his account down for bullshit, on the same day or so he got booted by all the other platforms. it kills credibility when the platforms target people like that, very sloppy.

what i dont understand is why platforms bother to censor at all. if the activity doesn't rise to the level of illegality they're liable for (ISIS recruitment, etc) why bother? Any celeb can ruin their own career in a single tweet, if they want provocateurs gone give them the biggest platform they can. Milo advocated for adult males to fuck preteen boys. Gavin openly called for violence, Jones did literally all the things. They all made a menial career and were blocked by most hollywood celebs, now they could sue and become alt right martyrs.

Prime example. If this is something a nutter like you believes, I'm highly skeptical it's real.

Twitter is already a cesspool of hate and negativity... I can understand management trying to at least have some guidelines.

From what I've seen(which isn't much), it seems the problem isn't that Twitter bans right-wing nutters for nothing, but that they look the other way on some liberals.

All in all though... I think Twitter would be a better place if the Infowarriors went on over to white supremacist twitter.

agreed entirely on the bold.

but disagree on the segregation aspect. the second someone tries to do that both will fail and a new platform will emerge. people love the shit talking and arguing. neither can live in a vacuum, just as pard cant exist without stupid people to complement the not as stupid people.

I'm not grouping all right-wingers into the Infowarrior crowd. I follow plenty of right-wingers on Twitter, and leftists argue with them all the time. But it's more productive dialogue... not the kind Alex Jones, Gavin, and Milo engage in.

I disagree... I only follow reasonable people on Twitter and it's glorious. Probably why I like PaRD less and less.

Facts don't care about your right-wing nutter feelings.
