The notion that there isn't a significant homicide problem within the AA community is silly though.

The Crips and Bloods are national criminal organizations with tens of thousands of members yet people seem to hate the proud boys more for some reason even though the proud boys have never killed anyone.

Gang culture is the number one problem facing african americans, far more dangerous than police bias or racism.

poverty has been breeding this gang culture, and now, gang culture perpetuates poverty. the big question is the following: would a reduction in poverty reduce gang violence, or has this toxic culture become so entrenched in certain communities that simply throwing money at the problem wont lead anywhere anymore?

Well it doesn't help that the people like tooky who were able to reach young gang members and help them were murdered by the state.
