Didn’t Putin just recently talk about the old Soviet territories and how he thought it was ludicrous that they were allowed to leave/declare without any stipulations or agreements/arrangements?

I believe the agreements/arrangements he meant was those of military alliances. They signed some treaties with NATO at the end of the Cold War that NATO would not inch eastward after Germany's unification. Eventually NATO said fuck that and started gobbling up central European countries, installing military bases, missile systems, etc. closer and closer to Russia. Fast forward to 2022 and now it looks like ex-soviet states are going to be admitted into NATO and you will have a "defensive" military bases, rockets, probably nukes on Russia's border, 3 minutes from Moscow.

Idk maybe its just me but I don't really understand how people fail to see the point of view from the other side.

It's literally impossible for them to comprehend anything from Russia's vantage point and that they have legitimate national security concerns. MSM in the US and Europe does not allow for such comprehension of Russia's perspective and how they are being threatened by a missile shield, slowly inching closer to their border, that can be used for both offense and defense, enabling a nuclear first-strike on Russia while at the same time disabling their ability to launch retaliatory strikes in the event that they are attacked.

Anyway, it's pointless - the sheep just don't get it. Only Russia is the aggressor, they have no right to defend themselves and no right to security guarantees. Russia is evil and everything they do is because Putin wants to restore the Soviet Union, and that's that.
