Let's for a moment carry out a little thought experiment: assume that all these accusations are true, that Hunter Biden was indeed selling access to and influence with his powerful VP father to Ukrainians and Chinese businesses - what does that mean for the election, for the American voters? Does it matter, and if so, how much?

I, personally, think that laptopgate-enthusiasts are vastly overrating the potential of this scandal. Low info voters will believe the spin that "their" side is putting on this story. Dito for high info partisans. So the only group which might potentially be swayed by this are high info undecideds or centrists. I see no reason why high info voters should assign special importance to this kind of corruption from the Biden family, when contrasted with the corruption of the Trump family that we all witnessed for the past 4 years.

If we found a laptop from Donald Jr. or from Jared Kushner, we would most likely find similarly corrupt and shady dealings - does anyone dispute that? All this story does is prove Trump right when he labeled Washington politics and politicians as a "swamp". But this doesnt matter too much at this point because it's become blatantly obvious that Trump never intended to "drain the swamp", he wanted to replace the old swamp with a new swamp of his own.

Except the rich billionaire that owns the news agency that came out with the the stuff to begin with.





Want to address any of the other things that make this whole thing completely laughable or just how Joe Biden (the person actually being targeted here) lives near the guy.

The reason im not foaming at the mouth is BECAUSE its not that dissimilar to the Trump family.

if i saw something here that was way out of line with top level political families and general rich people behavior i might see this as a big deal. but its standard.

not only that but depending on the day Hunter is an inept loser put on a board just to get at his father, then his dad orchestrated it all negating the need to have hunter there to get to Joe, then he's masterminding global take overs negating that he's inept. its all over the place with no smoking gun.

HUNTER BIDEN! HUNTER BIDEN! I GOT BOXES OF HUNTER BIDEN!

Largely 99% of mainstream news sources have refused to address any of it. Go scroll through them.

Plus, it still has more evidence and credibility being provided than most of these other stories people praise.

The Trump family is already rich, they already made their fortunes in industry, and they're obviously losing money overall with Trump being president.
The accusations of foreign money against them comes from what, hotel stays, golf courses? Fair trade compensation for services rendered taking place in the open light of day. Accusations of preferential trade barrier treatment as the Chinese make embargos on Ivanka's brands a bargaining chip in trade wars?

Unless they were willing to go the Jimmy Carter route and become paupers with their businesses fully severed, it was an inevitable entanglement, for better or worse.
I think that's pretty far removed from haggling with foreign officials over how many millions you want to be paid in bribe money to set up a meeting with dad.

Yeah except Trump is on the hook for most of his net worth on the next 4 years
