i tend to think its ok to use insults against just about anyone, but when we use "tard" or any other variant of retard its really punching down at a group of people who don't deserve it. honestly i think using racial slurs is more acceptable than slander against people with special needs. if u call a black guy the n word he can fight back, physically, verbally, highroad, w/e. but when we invoke special needs were picking on a group incapable of defending themselves intellectually. i used to do it a lot too before my wife started working with special needs kids, i dont anymore.
