It was a bad move

It's a fair criticism, I was thinking this the other day. Really comes down to Trump being perceived as a hawk, and Obama as a dove. The expectation is that Trump will use force, and so diplomacy is commendable. The expectation is that Obama will use diplomacy, and so force is commendable.

But watch the video. He tried to shake the general's hand and instead the general gave him a salute. Trump reflexively gave him a salute back.

Watching the footage, it seemed like Trump was just trying to be cordial. I don't think there's much to criticize here.

Maybe, but they criticized Obama for mustard, so I say it's fair game.

Hey, Sean Hannity had it right. Obama is bigly elitist. It wasn't just your average mustard but he wanted dijon mustard for his burger. Even the french me doesn't do that.

There's nothing to it. I think it's important we don't play the "well if Obama did this Fox would criticize, so we should play their stupid game reversed". They're idiots, we're not, so let's act accordingly.

So if Obama enforced the red line it would have been commendable?

I kid of course, he shouldn't have drawn it. But the whole idea of the Obama dove is a bit laughable to me. Between his drone program and Lybia i'd say they guy was far from a dove, although perception is a bit tougher to nail down.
