need to stop treating these people like adults and treat them like children given their lack of self control =_=

fill the house with nothing but vegetables and lean meats, throw out all the cheesy potatoes and let her choose between starving and eating what's in front of her

if the biggest loser has taught us anything it's that boot camps work - just one idea to fix the problem

Coworker weighs like 350. He paid 5k for him and his wife to go for a week. He stuck to the diet and Fitbit for about 3 weeks. Still drinks like 88 ounces of Coke a day.

from what I noticed about eating right.... I feel in starvation mode for long periods of time, but meditation helps with that if you didn't know... when you meditate you slow your heartbeat and release stress etc.
so ya starvation mode for a few days might actually do some good...

Well, sure. Liberals tend to claim they are critical thinkers. It doesn't take that much critical thought to realize veganism is consistent with liberal ideals. Anyone who cares about climate change and animal suffering should be vegan.

I'll compare it to liberals in the 90's like Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama who were against gay marriage. What the hell changed in 10-15 years? Were the arguments in favor of gay marriage different then? Nope, but most people are sheep and need politicians and the media to encourage them to change their mind.

As a card-carrying vegan and liberal, I can attest that veganism is not mainstream throughout liberal movements.

Although, yes, the majority of people who are vegan tend to be liberal. We're still relatively few and far between though.

Yeah, I was confused as to why he was asserting veganism was somehow linked to contemporary liberalism. High five for being vegan though.

Been at it for about 3 and 1/2 years now. Was vegetarian for 8 years prior to that. ;)

I was raised vegetarian until I was about 11 or so then said I wanted to eat meat. Became vegan cold turkey at the start of this year. I knew it was the "right" thing for a while but it wasn't until a while with the idea stuck in my head that I decided to change. Actually I only got into it because of politics since I started to believe in a communal society and the production of plants costs a society an order of magnitude less than the production of animal products with literally no downside and the upside of not killing a hundred million animals a day.
