its wrong...

God made woman and man....nver man and man...or woman and woman.

Actually, no one knows who made us, if we were even created by some form of intelligent life at all; nor should life boil down to simply pairing up with the opposite sex and reproducing.

Sexual attraction is born with us, and presents itself during puberty. Some people are born with an attraction to the same gender, it is highly unjustified to deny them some sort of legal bond to eachother when 90% of everyone else is entitled to one.

So would it be ok with you if I married whomever I love despite society's objections ?

There's your first problem. I agree that people should be allowed all the benefits and protections of a legal bond, but no one is entitled to one. There is no right to union/marriage.

Universal declaration of rights art. 17 disagrees with you.

The UDoHR isn't a treaty, and isn't legally binding.

Article 17 covers property rights.

Article 16 covers marriage (between man and woman), and the second point under it states: "Marriage shall be entered into only with the free and full consent of the intending spouses." Are you really going to use the premises of a hetero-only declaration to assert that gays have a right to marry?

Since no one has the right to compel consent, it logically precludes a right (as in all are entitled) to marriage. Now if you manage to find a consenting partner (as so many do), you're entitled (according to the declaration) to marry, but it's still not a treaty.

oh man

never thought I'd see the universal declaration of human rights sourced anywhere outside of ethics class.

I am gay. I am just marrying a man to fulfill my duty to society and status quo.
