I'm ashamed we have an unelected head of state

It's tradition at this point. The British have a rich history and culture and it's something that should be embraced IMO. As long as the monarchy is neutered of real power, I think it's fine.

British democracy is built on good faith and people acting honourably. We don't have a constitution that goes into minutia, so if we have an interventionist monarch in the future (that by law still has some limited powers), there could be some political instability. Even if the likelihood of this is low, I'm not one for keeping tradition for tradition's sake and will always be a republican

The queen/king still has the power to veto basically any law. It hasn't been used in a very long time though.

Which means that 1) they have no real power since they never use it, and it can be removed or 2) it isn't needed anymore so it can be removed.

slavery was also a tradition, and so was segregation. not everything "should be embraced" just because it's (somewhat) old and established...

She is a disgrace. While I'm sure she had some legitimate struggles, she knew what she was getting into. I'm ashamed that she is an American.

some of their claims are likely legitimate. some are just stupid. Archie isnt given the title of prince? Those have been the rules since 1917. Some of the queen’s grandkids are not princess or princesses, much less the great-grandchildren. You married the spare and he is randomly a ginger who wears national-socialist outfits and looks nothing like his daddy. the royal family should have been more concerned about that from the get-go, not him marrying Wallis Simpson 2.0. He isnt Edward, Prince of Wales.

and the evil white people ended it sweetheart

what a stupid and moronic comparison to a head of state with ceremonial duties

germany also does not have an elected head of state in case you forgot, a foot soldier of the political parties selected behind closed doors is all we get
