The reason I posted that NVDem guillotine logo is to show that radical, perhaps even extremist thinking is more prevalent among Democrats (and progressives more broadly) than you want to acknowledge [1], as is the influence of self-avowed socialists. Your complaints about Republicans being a radicalized party with no rational leaders or ideology left are coming from a narrow, partisan lens and paint an incorrect picture of reality. Yes, the Republican party currently has a problem with nutjobs in its ranks, but pretending as if the radicalization and increasing flippancy in American politics is only coming from one side would be asinine.
[1] exhibit A:

Exhibit A: A post on a video game forum

Exhibit B: A Republican president inciting a riot in which they broke into the capital building chanting "hang mike pence".

Yeah, not hard to see why people see Republicans and the right as significantly worse than Democrats or the left. There's a reason why the FBI, even under Trump, acknowledged that right wing extremism is our current most serious terrorist threat in the United States.

So you can get off your "both sides do it" high horse. It's comparing a candle to a house fire, and the left is not the house fire.

My point was not to argue in favor of both sides being equal, my point was to argue against the notion of complete one-sidedness which was implied by crossbones. According to him, you and several others, it's virtually exclusively the Republicans who have radicalized, who promote or apologize violence and who have a problem with nutjobs in their ranks. Yes, perhaps the GOP is a bit worse in some of these categories at the moment, but the difference is much smaller than you think it is - and that was my point. You can of course feel free to disagree and go back to the "red party bad"-circle jerk. *shrug*

Keeping in mind that until Trump, and maybe even still... the FBI was about as un-corrupt as a $3 hooker. ^^

A peaceful protest isn't a riot.

You people are bloodthirsty Bolsheviks and you don't deserve dog catcher.

The FBI flat out admitted this week that they don't hunt down ANTIFA because antifa violence justifies their budget. They hunt down proud boys because proud boys reduce the amount of crime that exists in suburbs. The FBI doesnt care about me or you, they just want more government cheese and you are their pawn.

Does this history give anyone the right to politically destabilize a nation like the US which has enough nuclear weapons to destroy the planet? No. The game has changed. Read the room. We can no longer play these stupid games when you are risking a scenario where a madman gets a ton of nukes. Maybe you missed the memo but we developed NUCLEAR WEAPONS. We cannot play division politics. Stop it. Stop the race baiting, the nazi baiting, all of it. NOW.

Meanwhile, the Democratic Socialists of America have taken over the Nevada state party after kicking all the Harry Reid machine folks out. One of their first actions in power was to change the logo/brand of the NVDems to a guillotine:

For the record: this is not some rando far-left twitter user, no, this purple-haired college-dropout is one of the persons in charge of the Nevada Democratic party.

nice whataboutism there. do you at least acknowledge that boebert sympathised with q anon, and that the movement has significant impact on the GQP, or do you just expect your denial thereof to be forgotten, maintaining that literally the only crazy within the party is mtg?

you're a liar. this false equivalence here is how this whole discussion started:

Quote (Black XistenZ @ 10 Mar 2021 00:30)
MTG is as much representative of the larger GOP as Ilhan Omar is representative of the Democratic party.

also, suggesting the GQP is just "a bit" worse is absurd, considering all the crazy shit they have supported and peddled lately. you trying to downplay blatantly racist lies, the rejection of presidential elections, support for an insurrection, baseless conspiracies, and science denial by pointing to progressive policies that you personally consider 'radical', but that (unfortunately) don't even have the slightest chance of being implemented thanks to corporate democrats, is pathetic. it's hard to believe that you could even fool yourself with that...
