You quoted the president as calling neo-nazis "very fine people". It is clear from the transcript that that is emphatically not what the president said.
If you meant to make some other claim, e.g. that the president did not respond quickly enough, or that he was giving mixed messages, you were of course free to make it. But you chose instead to repeat a debunked conspiracy theory.
Charlottesville rally happens
Trump says "we condemn violence on many sides"
Trump is criticized for 2 days by Republicans and Democrats alike.
Then you get the very fine people where he said
Quote
Reporter: "The neo-Nazis started this. They showed up in Charlottesville to protest --"
Trump: "Excuse me, excuse me. They didn’t put themselves -- and you had some very bad people in that group, but you also had people that were very fine people, on both sides. You had people in that group. Excuse me, excuse me. I saw the same pictures as you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name."
Except the unite the right rally was explicitly a neo-nazi rally, was organized by white supremacists, all the speakers were white supremacist. There was no "fine people" at that rally. Even Goomshill wouldn't defend this when I pressed him on it lol. That's how ridiculous you are right now. You're defending propaganda that was so explicit Goomshill wouldn't touch it after I posted all the facts.
