Renewables ARE unreliable. You can't get solar power with no sun. You can't get turbine generation with no wind. Hell, gas/oil bans, shutting down pipelines, etc. is absolutely damaging to power independence. Her tweet's completely idiotic for a completely different reason: It indicates that the power outages suffered in some 14 states were strictly limited to "renewables". That's a factually false statement. And in Texas specifically, the pumping control mechanisms for their natural gas pipelines froze. The pipes and gas were fine, but the mechanisms weren't weatherproofed. This is what caused the majority of their outages.

- 'renewables are unreliable' and 'we should stop using renewables' are massively different statements
