Republicans: I don't like his marginal tax rate policy because it contradicts with the Laffer curve and ends up creating perverse incentives.

Democrats: Haha, he got maked fun of his wife.

Laffer was an economic adviser to Kansas Governor Sam Brownback, who in 2012 zeroed out state tax liability for approximately 330,000 of the top wage earners in the state, contending it would be a "shot of adrenaline into the heart of the Kansas economy."[39][40] The state, which had previously had a budget surplus, experienced a budget deficit of about $200 million in 2012. Drastic cuts to state funding for education and infrastructure were implemented to close budget deficits and the Kansas economy underperformed relative to neighboring states.[41] Brownback's tax overhaul was described in a June 2017 article in The Atlantic as the United States' "most aggressive experiment in conservative economic policy".[42] The drastic tax cuts had "threatened the viability of schools and infrastructure" in Kansas. The Kansas legislature repealed the tax cut in June 2017, overriding the veto of governor Brownback.[42]

Perhaps we can put this stupid idea to rest and put more thought into tax policy than a hastily drawn squiggle on a napkin?

Wikipedia isn't a credible source.

I doubt you have the mathematics background to understand a 101 macroeconomics concept like the laffer curve though.

Isn't the Laffer curve more of a philosophical argument as opposed to an analytical one? I haven't seen any evidence that increasing taxes in America would lead to less revenue.

So that case in Kansas is an obvious case of government corruption that cartoonishly proves my point by being the exception that proves the rule.

Now, you're just arguing points that I never even remotely considered.

You are atheist, so you aren't allowed to make religious judgments.

do you have ANY idea how cringe your 'laffer curve' posts are? it's the ONE economic term that you picked up, because republicans have misused it for decades to justify demonstrably ineffective supply side economics, and you use it all the time thinking it makes you sound smart, when all it proves is how superficial and flawed your understanding of even basic economics is. seriously, just stop. it's genuinely worse than your LIES about merkel and concentration camps for people who don't wear masks...

Its been dismissed as pseudoscience by all but the fringe right of economists.

Unfortunately thats the group that Republicans have sought to elevate for at least 20 years so it takes up a lot of space in the conversation.
