I would feel bad that he died. I would not blame Trump for his stupidity though.

As for that video I linked in post #4302... if you watch it carefully, Bill Bryan was listing discoveries they had made concerning covid-19. IMO, Trump was attempting to "ask" if there would be further testing of those discoveries.
Granted, he made it sound idiotic, but I do think, he was asking if there would be human trials.

I think Trump was trying to say: Those discoveries are great, will the information we gleaned from them, aid us in helping to eradicate covid-19. I really don't think that Trump thinks, that injecting bleach would be a good idea.

Then again...I don't spend my days, ripping apart every sentence he utters, looking for something to hang him with. So maybe I'm a bit less biased in this instance.
I realized long ago that Trump was never gonna win any awards for his communication skills, so I tend to take what he says with a grain of salt, and try to deduce what he "meant" to say.

No... you know a poster that said HE thought it would be 20k deaths. There is obviously no way to KNOW how many deaths there would be. We are still no wheres near the initial predictions of 200k deaths.

But then again, there was no way to know then, that the CDC was sending out faulty test kits either.

14% is pretty impressive. Not near enough for herd immunity, but it's a good sign of the virus not being as fatal as we feared.

i'm happy that when i predicted 50k-100k US deaths from the initial wave i was correct, and also at the same time happy that preventative steps and caution helped make it so. there were too many people at the same time doubting number of deaths while also doubting if we should take preventative steps.

It doesn't even give a date for when the trials are starting other than 'before the end of April'.
