In this poll 89% of Americans oppose the Storming of the Capitol.

That is absolutely terrifying.

That means 11% were OK with or supported the Storming of the Capitol. Now, a back of the envelope calculation given the population of the United States tells me that around 40 MILLION Americans were OK with it. That is a MASSIVE MASSIVE number. In a normal, stable nation, maybe 2% of the public would be OK with it. But 11%??!?!?!?! Let's put this into more perspective. There are 2-3 million Americans in jail. There are 1-2 million Americans in the military. 40 MILLION Americans willing to accept storming the Capitol and effectively overthrowing the US? There is no force on Earth that can stop that. And even if you COULD, what are the options? Throw 40 million Americans in prison camps in the biggest fascist action in history? Kill 40 million revolutionaries in the biggest murder spree in history? Or let them overthrow the government?

The US government has already fallen. It may be still there, wiggling about, but its academic at this point. You can govern when 40 million want to overthrow you.

What even more amazing is the media is trumpeting this poll like its a good thing. That poll means total war. That poll means if you are a public figure of any kind, you need to IMMEDIATELY denounce the government or that mob will come for you eventually.

I can safely predict millions of trumpers will attend the Inauguration on 1/21. Those numbers say they will need the entire US Army there to stop them from tearing down everything.

you're extrapolating outcomes from a poll with zero regard to polling bias or nuance of any sort.

I think the polling data understates the numbers. There's gotta be a lot MORE than 11% that are ok with it.

73 million trump votes is pretty scary.

if i had 20 pizzas and 10 were anchovies and 10 were pineapple someone could be appalled that 50% of people like pineapple on pizza after all of them are gone.
