Bro the candidate with the biggest % of the votes wins. I real y’all’s conversation why is this so confusing to you?

Some states have a threshold you must win by or it triggers a special election/runoff election where there is basically a revote. But most of the time whoever gets the most votes wins, no matter the margins.

Yes. But "during" the race, the percentage keeps going up and down. My OCD can't deal with that. :-)

Percentage is x/100. Meaning for every 100 votes this candidate has this many. It is a way to more easily see how close things actually are. Instead of saying the vote is 43,670 votes in favor of somebody, they say somebody is up by 2.7% or whatever.

Idk man I just feel like you should know how percentages work I’m trying to help ya out

Well if this remains consistent that gap is only going to get bigger as marriage declines.

If the entire country had voter ID + same day in person voting + same day results, Democrats would never win elections.

Voter ID is a bullet in the knee for GOP.

The only thing that matters in elections is the percentage of cast votes candidates receive (and by extension the actual number of votes, from which those percentages are derived).
