Some of official statements from UIA management translated into english:

- aircraft has gone through checks on 6th January
- no complaints from crews that operated the aircraft before
- captain had 11000 hours of flight experience, 5500 as captain of 737
- an instructor pilot was present on board with 12000 hours, 6500 as captain of 737
- FO had 7600 hours on 737
- pilots were very familiar with Teheran airport
- the airline is very unlikely to believe in some kind of cockpit crew fault or aircraft failure
- UIA is stopping flights to Iran

Doubt this was a planned attack though, many aboard from Iran. Still exists the possibility it was accidentally shot down.

We'll have to wait for the box.
