When you say "Israel", do you mean the country or the land? I have no problem with Hebrews (which I think you mean Jews) having their own country. But they cannot point to a parcel of land and say, "that land belongs to us" and then proceed to displace people who have lived on it for hundreds of years.

Its not just the Holocaust. Yom Kippur, constant Palestinian insurgency (obviously perpetually fueled by Israeli crackdown, but you get the point). What other choice does Israel have apart from maintaining such militarization? A lot of factions are against a two-state solution. Israel was conceding to that for a long time. Only lately have they been aggressively settling the West Bank

The victor is the one that holds the land.

It's indeed kind of difficult to figure out who that land really belongs to, however, Palestinians have been living there for many years. Displacing them is wrong and inhumane, don't you think?

With the announced siege and stopping of food, water, electricity, etc. Israel should provide a one way corridor for women & kids out of Gaza either to west bank or Sinai. Let the obvious non combatants out (not sure if something like this is being allowed right now)

Gaza conditions have been deplorable for quite some time, and then yeah the West Bank is obviously an issue. the settler issue isn’t benign, armed randoms coming into your legal property. Police that turn their shoulder. How would Texas deal with that?

I’m not saying I have the answers and what the right strategy from Israel is regarding retaliation. I’m simply saying both sides are not blameless.

Palestinians share blame by continuing to allow a terrorist organization being the face of the society. the thing is that people don’t realize is Hamas terrorizes Palestinians as well and the backlash for opposing Hamas, in Palestine, is extreme. However, if there is any meaningful future to be had it has to be done, meaning Hamas and Iran influence ending. Obviously easier said than done with me sitting comfortably in my chair, but the Saudi deal was a good start.

My sympathies only go to the civilians on both sides because the suffering is extreme. It’s just land. Give all the civilians a reasonable out so they can live their lives. A huge issue is these civilians have no out. You are born into hell, and die in it.
