The shooter was mentally ill but it's very possible she/he ALSO did that because of being bullied or misstreated in this school in the past.
Don't forget that Many ( - not all - ) American Christians (More likely the southern belt ones) are horrible people, voting trump, being xenophobic (to other races or whatever different people). Superficial people thinkink they are "saved"...

The topic title is true, unless you want to argue the definition of terrorism then that is another discussion.
It was also an attack on a Christian institution, which likely is considered a Church as well, which amounts to anti-religious violence no different then a mosque attack.
