just some johnny come latelys. id say every regular who isnt a virulent anti-Trumper or is partial in some way to President Trump has definitely condemned or does not support the attempt to occupy the capitol.

so we have 3 distinct groups:

ones who condemn all rioting/violence/etc no matter who started it (only a handful of posters here and very few politicians) <— This is the correct stance
ones who only condemn the attempt to occupy the capitol (most users here, most lefty/rino/democrat politicians, most of the media, most tech giants)
ones who only condemned the riots from 2017-present (mostly “republican” politicians and “conservative” media)

oh and i wont tire from referencing this, not that it justifies any sort of behavior we’ve seen

They don't need an excuse anymore. The government will just find someone they don't like and associate them with the protest this week. They won't need directly violent language anymore. Free speech no longer exists.

not direct cheerleading, but when it comes to constantly engaging in ridiculously flawed whataboutisms concerning BLM and antifa protests, pretty much all of trumpist pard - including yourself ofc. it's a difference, i do acknowledge that. i don't think anyone outright condoned their behaviour officially here, but the constant downplaying and false equivalences are not too far from it tbh.

the whole "i condemn ALL violence" reaction to this coup attempt is very much like the 'all lives matter' thing, or trumps 'both sides' comments. not really very subtle. everyone knows where those people are coming from.
