No. It's a national story because there's two sides to a coin and any chance possible the other is going to absolutely magnify things to gain ground on their narrative. The entire event is chicken shit compared to the rest of the news today but this pushes the most ground so it's front-page news worthy. This was not because of a emboldened racist bigot uprising like you wish it was. This is modern politics and its about pitting onside against the other before they even read a policy, have any financial education or even consider facts before hitting the retweet button or like button.

To be transparent on my views I believe in some positions you rise above x pettiness. I understand why it was magnified and again its back to the political climate. You only have to put out headlines and people accept it as fact. If you don't magnify your opposition than people only digest the fiest headline and ground is lost.
