Well strawman arguments help you to win only in your imagination. They don't teach you how debates work over at Uranus?

When you are ready to proceed just provide some research and maybe this conversation can proceed otherwise you are simply a clown for hire

Universal healthcare is bankrupting the UK government, and still costs people more in taxation. Nurses don't even get payed a living wage.
Honestly it needs reform and its not the best fit solution for 21st century.

Not sure how you can struggle to understand that removing a profit motive based middle man is 100% going to lower prices.
Allowing generics will lower prices even further.

waiting times in the uk averaged 9 weeks in 1993 before government health care. now its up to 23-26 weeks. its turned into the ussr: everything is free but there are massive shortages. its just a matter of time before the uk sees black market healthcare arise to actually, you know, treat people. canadians are increasingly going across the border for treatment while canadian government health care recommends people just kill themselves more and more.

Universal healthcare in the US will not work because too much of their population is unhealthy by choice

America being by far the wealthiest nation in the world has a nasty side-effect: gluttony. When food is incredible cheap, people become incredibly fat.

Solution? Have universal health care only for autoimmune diseases & cancer

every nation has this choice: social safety net, military, low taxes. pick 2.

europe can have low taxes and government health care because it gets free military service from the us.

the us picks military and low taxes, protects europe for free, and then europe mocks the us for it.

the us should create some government health care for itself, deeply cut the military, cut all aid to ukraine, bill ukraine for money, training, and equipment already received, and let europe handle putin. i mean, that is what europe obviously wants. they keep mocking the us for not having government health care and this is how you do it.

It is still working decently fine in other European countries though. (Of course all healthcare systems across the developed world are under increasing pressure due to the aging population.)
The reality is that the details and implementation of a healthcare system determine how good it is, not the topline type of system (single- vs multi-payer, one nationalized provider vs multiple private ones, etc.)

The lefties in the US who claim that all the troubles of their healthcare system would be magically fixed if only the country adopted a Canada- or UK-style single-payer system are misguided.
