That's a question that will never have a real number put on it. I'd say the racism of the Trump campaign was the egg or flour in the cake. A critical component, but ultimately you don't get a cake without all the other ingredients, and the people who were motivated by his populist message of getting coal jobs back are also the groups that are most receptive to racist messaging.
Snipa recommended me a Joe Rogan podcast with a black guy who deconverted a lot of KKK members. One thing he said is that the KKK specifically comes into towns that just lost a ton of jobs, or had jobs replaced with immigrants. They know that economic problems are a fertile breeding ground for racist messaging and the people are far more receptive.
So it's not something that you can cleanly separate. All you can say is it's a crucial part of the recipe.
