Kuwait newspaper Al-Jarida (not complete nobodies) and similarly claimed by other sources like Russian TASS, both with plausible access to the communications, claim that high level US officials have sent a warning to Iran that any declaration of war by Nasrallah against Israel in his speech will be taken as a declaration of war by Iran itself, and likewise making threats against both hezbollah and iranian targets. Of course, even if exactly that kind of message was delivered, it could be posturing by American diplomats to get hezbollah and iran to balk. Either way, the next significant development will be tomorrow as he gives the speech and what the reactions are, especially given the already stepped up attacks on American military bases by Iranian proxies

Basically we have a nuclear armed nation obliterating one of its ethnic minorities. The countries around it are saying, "dude you have to stop", and the nation is saying "no". Similar to what happened when Ukraine spent 7 years bombing its own people and Russia said "dude you have to stop" and Ukraine said "no". Russia asked the US "will you send troops" and when the US said "No", Russia invaded.

The difference here is that Israel has nukes (Ukraine no longer has), and the US this time WILL send troops to Israel if anyone invades//declares war on Israel. Therefore the stakes are much higher and the war could escalate much much faster then the war in Ukraine. Basically the current situation is the worst case scenario which was talked / examined for the last few decades (and the most likely event / war to spiral out of control to nuclear).
