You guys were talking about mainstream voices in the media, academia, corporate America and the political sphere who were pushing an alternative national anthem at the most important cultural mass event of the year.
Meanwhile, the dregs who stormed the Capitol do not represent the median MAGA supporter, nor did their actions have the support of a majority of the 74 million Trump voters.

You're comparing apples to oranges. On one side, you have the hardcore MAGA-heads who stormed the Capitol, i.e. the radical fringe of the MAGA movement, a fringe which is widely ostracized and holds extremely limited institutional power. On the other side, you have wokism, a movement which is accepted if not embraced by large swaths of the mainstream and which actually enjoys disproportionally large amounts of institutional power and backing.

I didn't draw a moral equivalence between confederate flags and LGBTQIP* flags, I merely said that both are examples of flags that signal a particular political conviction and that showing them alongside the stars and stripes flag is perfectly normal.

Just to clarify: my point was not to imply that all drag queens are pedos or scary-looking. My point was that what you euphemistically labeled as "teaching kids that its ok to be different and that you shouldn't have to hide your true nature" in practice frequently devolves into aggressively confronting little children with deviant adult sexuality, in many cases literally shoving it in their face.
