Again I don't know what you're arguing. The merket has done well since the clear victor has been announced. Again this is an observation. Why you're linking a bunch of 2016 is beyond me. I am simply saying what has taken place. Biden won, markets are forward looking and have reacted favourably. I don't know why you're so triggered.

Let's be real: the main factor driving the recent rally are the good news on the vaccine front, which give the markets a fairly clear timeline for a return to somewhat-normal.



The influence of presidents on the economy is generally overrated anyway.

If it was a negative future outlook they would have gone down. They did not.

Right on election night, it became clear that the GOP is heavily favored to retain control of the Senate, which will gut any of the far-left legislation the AOC/Bernie wing of the Democratic party was dreaming about. Even if Democrats win both GA runoffs and tie the Senate 50:50, that's still a far too shaky majority (50+1 with VP Harris as the tiebreaker) to get any bold progressive legislation through. Almost all looming policies which would have hurt corporate America's bottom line, like big tax hikes or strict climate rules, were off the table on election night. We will simply never know how the markets would have reacted to a blue wave with a solid Democratic trifecta.

I didn't argue it would have done better or worse. All I said was the market has been favourable since the initial days of the election. I am well aware wallstreet prefers stability and a split creates that.

You guys have somehow extrapolated beyond that. I think it's because your assholes pucker that the world isn't tanking without a Trump presidency and that you take personal offense.

More importantly. If Biden wins, the Trump taxcuts will expire in 2021 and collapse any chance the Democrats ever had to win in 2024
