Perhaps. We're probably having a very different perception of the Democratic party. You're strongly focused on the center-left "Biden wing" of the party since that's your political home these days (sort of), while I'm strongly focused on the more radical elements of the party, like the squad or the Bernie/Warren wing.
How did that happen? Bernie is like the average politician where you come from..
But more on topic, Trump wanted to divide the country, tear it apart and thrive in the chaos. Let citizens fight among themselves, so they wouldn't fight him.. Don't put it on one voter group that they didn't want unity in the past 4 years. And don't be hypocritical to think "Democrats" are worse.
Now there is a chance with a president that doesn't want to divide. /e and doesn't try to scare of hispanic with communism/socialism labels.
