That's what cracks me up. You can understand the the tallied votes should go UP, but not that the percentage should go UP as well.

The percentage is telling you different information. It's telling you the vote share of cast votes. I dont understand why you think votes/total eligible voters is a meaningful number that needs reporting.

Because I don't care one bit about the vote share. I care who wins... that's it.
Look, we're never gonna agree. I'll just have to remember that the percentage is useless to me.

When I was looking for LIVE election results, I came across sites that broke everything down into the tiniest details.
Useless to me. I'm not running a campaign. I just wanna know who's wining/won.

It's a lot easier to deal with a 2 digit percentage than huge numbers in vote counts.
Just my preference.

% of total votes cast literally tells you who's winning...

As polling shifts heavily into Republican favor, many fear, albeit irrationally, that our sacred democracy will be upended and America will become a totalitarian wasteland where women will be slaves to their man’s wishes and people of color will be forced to pump our gasoline and make square hamburgers for scraps of chicken gizzards and sheep intestines. The transgender community will be wiped out completely and interracial marriage will become illegal once more. Wealthy businessman will run to their bunkers while the peasants will be free to tote guns and fight for survival. Prominent politicians will tout this was the freest and safest election in American history while all deniers will be publicly executed on the spot.

I am, of course, kidding. The republicans will gain a majority in the house and possibly the senate. They will introduce bills that will inevitably be vetoed and legislation will stall for at least two years. We will be told continuously how much better things were for the American people in 2022, and the corporate propaganda machine will ramp up its hyperbolic rhetoric leading all the way to 2024.

Being that the senate is where the real tossups are, what are your most interesting takes? Seems as if Ohio, Pennsylvania and Arizona are the big three senate races. Election deniers vs democrat rubber stamps, vegetables vs bologna sandwiches.

Oh what a great time to be an American!

Daily reminder you lost the midterms

because he wants to discount black and women voters so his side wins His focus on eligible voters may as well be expressed as a KPI for what voters can we make ineligible.

If the entire country had voter ID + same day in person voting + same day results, Democrats would never win elections.

Bro the candidate with the biggest % of the votes wins. I real y’all’s conversation why is this so confusing to you?

Some states have a threshold you must win by or it triggers a special election/runoff election where there is basically a revote. But most of the time whoever gets the most votes wins, no matter the margins.

people who pay taxes and work hard and got something going on for themselves are outnumbered by lifelong govt leeches like that user in America now. no wonder things are going the way they are
