Some people get grossed out by any meat that isn't cooked all the way through.
Besides, it takes considerable skill and effort to cook a well done steak right.

I am not grossed out by steaks that aren't fully cooked through, I just think it might make me sick with all that raw pinkness in the centre. There might be microorganisms lurking.

In fact I don't know how people can eat rare steaks without getting food poisoning.
