By stating that I do not care that death is coming pretty much says that my readiness is simply that, "is."

That is your interpretation... you obviously missunderstood the question or did not answer it... there are only 2 answers : yes or no.

The word apocalypse means "unveiling", not the end of the world.

The unveiling refers to the beginning of the time where the truth of life is being openly revealed to mankind. Most people realize that the world is not going to end tomorrow, and that the Mayans were wrong. So why is there so much hype over it? It is because it is the truth in disguise. It is one of the numerous cases where the truth is exactly the opposite of what is receiving all of the attention. 2012 has become a symbol of ending and destruction in the minds of humanity, but the exact opposite is true about it.

2012 is about beginning, specifically the beginning of the time when mankind will start to wake up at an increasing exponential rate. It is not about the destruction of the world, but the destruction of our old minds, our deceptive beliefs and mindsets. It is about the creation of a new world built on the foundation of the ultimate truth. It is about the creation of our new minds that know and understand the ultimate truth, and as a result have started to change into the minds of spiritual beings.

Is it a coincidence that this date of ending and destruction coincides at the same time the truth of life is being revealed? No. It is like all the other hidden truth in our music, art, and literature. Like all the other famous people and the quotes that speak to us so much, it does so because the real truth is in it. 2012 has risen to a place of significance in the mind of society for one reason: to help wake us up and become aware of the truth.
