Give it time.

In 2000 you would have said the same thing if a film just included a black and gay person.

No, I would not. Also, back in 2000, most films were written and cast with the story and action in mind, rather than just serving as a backdrop or vehicle for the display of as much diversity and wokeness as possible.

Also note how the checklist expanded from

- showcase at least one non-white person
- showcase at least one queer person

to

- showcase at least one black, hispanic and asian person
- showcase at least one gay, lesbian, trans and non-binary person
- showcase at least one sympathetic migrant or refugee figure
- contain at least 3 scenes or subplots in which an old white man is a bigoted asshole
- female and non-binary characters must be strong, independent, and get to own a male character
- there must not exist any physical feat a man can do that a tiny, 100lbs woman cant do just as well
- contain at least one non-traditional family structure, preferably a male lead taking on a father role for a kid which is not his own
- showcase at least one interracial couple

Gotta admit that Sarah Conner in Terminator 2, in the psych ward escape scene... DID seem to be a believable 100lb woman taking on a few guys.
But other than that one movie... I haven't seen another movie with a believable 100lb female kicking guy's asses.

/e And last but not least... a woman can't make a decent explosion sound, with the anatomical equipment she was born with.
When I lived in the SF Bay area, and I would hear an "a woman can do anything a man can do" argument, I would always bring up the explosion noise thing.
I would demonstrate, and then listen to all the women in the discussion, trying in vain to make a good explosion sound with their throat. :D

I think I was about 30-35 when I figured out that women don't have the anatomical equipment to make a good explosion sound.

This checklist is just life dude. I see most of those things on a weekly basis.

Seems like you're butthurt that a film might reflect reality.

As a sidenote - who the fuck cares? It's a movie. A German movie at that. I highly doubt you're going to be watching anything with subtitles. So who gives a shit? Go watch American Pie 9 or something. There's millions of films and TV series out there. I'm sure you can find enough to watch that don't include all the spooky people to keep you entertained until you die.

You tend to follow the middle of the bell curve, or maybe lag a little behind in these things, and the people who you align with in terms of cultural change and acceptance did make those complaints. My point is you're not very forward thinking on cultural issues. You don't have a lot of foresight until the culture around you hands it to you on a silver platter.

Your checklist is straight up cringelord. Go back to alt-right YouTube.

Black XistenZ is right.

And there's no "reality" reflected in today's movies. It's pure "wokeness" BS. And it's destroying movies. Butr you don't have to take my word for it. Just watch the crap these wokeness folks turn out. ^^

Why does it bother you though that's what I don't get. You can just like... Not watch a movie if you don't like the direction a producer takes it, just like you would literally anything else in life. I imagine you don't go to gay bars because they don't offer you anything you're interested in, no?

Like none of you are ever going to consume that movie, so who gives a fuck? You aren't the target audience.

I've always wanted to go to a gay bar so I can see what its like to be a sex object to people I'm not interested in.

Like, see what its like being a woman a bit.

But then again I'm not exactly a 10 lol. So it probably wouldn't work anyway.

Then covid happened right after I moved to a big city

Being approached by thirsty men is just a really weird feeling in general imo, regardless of whether you're interested lol. Used to go with friends fairly often but it was always a group thing so people kind of leave you be. But solo I get approached after like 30 seconds of being alone at the bar. And a fair amount of guys can be super aggressive and persuasive lol. It's a fairly nerve wracking feeling like you're horny but simultaneously worried for your safety. Which has never happened in my life when approaching women.

Linda Hamilton was shredded as fuck though. Her performance in that movie was masterful in general. I have rarely seen an actress combine feminine fragility and ass-kicking as convincingly as she did in that movie.

No offense, but that's not really saying much. You live a highly non-average life surrounded by non-average people. There is good reason to assume that your reality is not the reality of most normies.

Lol, that's a pretty strong conclusion you're drawing about me based on a very thin basis. You've only "known" me for what, 3 years, and only heard my stances on a narrow range of issues. You know very little about the evolution of my beliefs and worldview over the course of my life.

My point is you're not very forward thinking on cultural issues.

If you define "forward" as synonymous to "in the direction of ever-increasing liberalism", that's correct.

Smug much?

On the contrary, I have an unusually high amount of foresight. Which is precisely why I resent and push back so vehemently against this destructive and divisive far-left ideology which has been gaining ground on social and cultural issues in recent years. "Liberal identity politics", "wokeism", "critical social justice" or whatever name you want to give it - it unnecessarily pits people against each other, distracts from more important cleavages and fights, undermines social cohesion and solidarity - it's a textbook divide and conquer strategy. But one needs actual foresight to realize that.
