It wasn't that close. 2016 was MUCH closer and Hillary conceded quite quickly because she's less of a cunt than Trump. 2000 and 2004 were also closer. This is basically 2012 and it's a decisive victory for Biden.

Kinda rich coming from a party whose mantra is "fuck your feelings." But yea, we should let Trump and his fellow cultists go through his 5 stages of grief. They are very clearly in the denial phase.

There are lawsuits pending, it's obvious why Republican senators would not want to preemptively congratulate Biden.

This is a non-story to end all non-stories. CNN is afraid of the coming cliff.

Indeed, they are scared and they need Trump voters for the special election. I have to imagine we won't see "peace" until Biden's inauguration.

What are you talking about? Biden will win the decisive states in the EC by margins of 0.7% and less. This election is far more similar to 2016 than 2012 in every metric that matters. Decisive victory my ass.

It took the left years to get over Trump winning, I think we can spare a few weeks. Katy Perry is being harassed for saying we should love family members who voted the other way. Suffice to say that it was a very charged election, and that Democrats enjoy a large share of the blame. Expecting Republicans to singularly get over it in a day is just childish.

Gotta give you credit Bogie... you continue to display why even the seemingly reasonable right-wingers are nuts.

I feel I'm just a bit more mature. I've been cynical about politics from the get go. We have to keep the train going. One side needs time. Give them time, as Biden, to his credit, is doing.

The only lawsuit that has any chance of sticking is PA, which is only over ~4000 votes that haven't even been added to the total yet.

There is no reason to not congratulate Biden. It's a scam to delegitimize the election so they can take increasingly drastic action.

Yes such normal coping mechanisms like "Wuhan was created in a laboratory and released this year specifically to ruin trump's reelection. Then the Democrats with George soros committed voter fraud to stop trump when that didn't work." That's what Fox, OANN, and Breitbart (his words) have normies like my uncle saying out loud right now.

This is a function of the Russiagate saga, which dominated Trump's term. Calling the President a Russian pawn, without evidence, has understandably created a sense of paranoia among the President's supporters.

We need to step back from the brink.

Why do you hate the rule of law so much?

If Trump's team is not able to provide a relevant starting point for their court cases, the judges will dismiss their lawsuits in record time and this whole (sad) saga will end with yet another humiliation of Trump.
However, if they are able to come up with evidence which serves as probable cause, then they are entitled to have their case heard, and the courts will decide according to the law, just like it's supposed to be.

The way the race stands right now, Trump would need 3 or 4 high profile wins in these lawsuits to flip this election. Too many fires to put out, not gonna happen; Biden will be the next president. It's nonetheless important for American democracy going forward that these cases are allowed to be settled.
