BERNIES PLAN CANT WORK

His plan is in line with how most of the rest of the world already works

MATH DOESNT CARE ABOUT YOUR FEELINGS

His healthcare plan would probabily be cheaper according to conservative groups

The problem with Bernie is that he's a firebrand, and just not a gifted coalition builder. Perfectly encapsulated in the pivotal moment of the Dem primaries, when Bernie had just won the Nevada caucus and was the front-runner for the nomination for a moment. So what did he do during this moment when he had the upper hand, when a lot of Democrats where thinking about the prospect of him being their standard bearer against Trump? Did he reach out to the rest of the party, did he try to convince them to come on board or to drop their reservations about him? No, he antagonized them and more or less told the rest of the party: "yes, this is a hostile takeover, resistance is futile".

He couldn't have tweeted anything to get them on his side. They're the corporatist wing. Hillary wouldn't even take his internal polling data in 2016 after he conceded.

You haven't been paying attention long enough, but once you've been paying attention for long enough you'll see it over and over again.

Lol wut?!

This was the primary. This was about getting the Democratic primary voters on his side, not the swampy, corporatist DNC figures.

Do you really think that a campaigns only starts collecting data on the general once they're the nominee? Do you really think they don't also poll by issue and collect other data?

How is this related to the Bernie tweet I was talking about?

When the moment came to reach out to the rest of the party (electorate, not DNC figures), Bernie instead used antagonistic and divisive "us vs them" rhetoric, burning bridges instead of building them.
