We'll see what the count is at the end of the year. I expect there will be a fair bit of accounting to be done even after the 2nd wave ends.

I believe the 2nd wave will be much worse.. It will also tank the economy more as we have spent all our "help" ideas and dollars.

They have a very large old demographic, those are the people that are primarily dying from covid

If this happen then Donald will regret to have put his name on the checks...

Thats because the pool is now gigantic inthere, people are much more suspicious if they get symptoms, and the country provide massive testing.
You can add the habits & density on the top of this.

Probably because those two countries did a much better job at identifying and isolating the sick early on.

So bad luck has a very big role in virus spreading, along with

- Social distancing habits
- Social habits in respecting the containment

- density
- tourism
- immigration, especially illegal immigration... Of chinese: packed in small illegal factories, making all the famous Italian clothes ... Sad.


- Median age (Minus relative life expectancy?) is a factor only the difference is really big.
- Identifying and isolating sick is decent factor IMO
